Building on a Legacy of Community-First Banking

Vacaville, CATravis Credit Union (TCU) is delighted to announce that it is celebrating its 75th anniversary on September 19th. To honor the occasion TCU is hosting a Community Event from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at its corporate office at One Travis Way, Vacaville, CA. Guests can expect food trucks, games, financial education and fun.

Other festivities include in-branch birthday parties on October 5th that include a giveaway with $750 prizes for each of the five lucky winners.

Since 1951, TCU has built on its strengths, growing from its first location at Travis Air Force Base with just 46 members into an organization with 24 branches offering expanded services, greater accessibility and a continued commitment to helping members build stronger financial futures through education, personalized service and community engagement.

As part of its 75th Anniversary celebration Travis Credit Union is honored to present a $5,000 donation to Solano-Napa Habitat for Humanity. The contribution reflects TCU's ongoing commitment to improving financial well-being and supporting organizations that create pathways to strength, stability, self-reliance and lasting community impact. For more than ten years, Travis Credit Union (TCU) and Solano-Napa Habitat for Humanity have partnered to help local families achieve long-term financial stability through homeownership. Since 2015, TCU has been supporting Habitat homeowners through financial education, coaching and resources that help build a strong financial foundation.

"Travis Credit Union has been a valued partner in our mission to help families achieve the dream of homeownership," said Andrew Killeen, Solano-Napa Habitat for Humanity CEO. "Through financial education, coaching and community investment, TCU continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the families we serve. We are grateful for their support of the Harmony Village development project and their ongoing commitment to strengthening our community."

Through the partnership, TCU also helps equip new homeowners with the financial knowledge they need to thrive, including financial education that participating families complete as part of Habitat’s homeownership process. The first of ten Habitat homes in Vacaville is scheduled for completion within the next six months.

For 75 years, TCU has grown alongside the communities it serves. Recent investments include unveiling a new branch design in Pinole, relocating one of its two Antioch branches to a new space and modernizing its digital banking platform. Together, these efforts deepen TCU’s presence in Contra Costa County while making banking more convenient and accessible for members.

Reflecting on the milestone, Kevin Miller, President & CEO of Travis Credit Union, said: "For 75 years, our success has been built on strong relationships with our members and the communities we serve. We are deeply grateful for the trust they have placed in us and proud of what we have accomplished together. We remain committed to honoring that trust through accessible financial services and continued community investment."

The 75th anniversary marks both a celebration of TCU’s history and a look toward its future. As it continues to grow, TCU remains focused on serving members and communities while preserving the community-focused values that have guided the organization for 75 years.
