1. Refer-A-Friend Program Disclosure

Eligibility Requirements:

  • This offer applies to the first TCU personal checking account opened by referred friend with no previous personal checking account that was closed within the preceding 36 months Referred friend must qualify for membership with TCU
  • A Prime Share Account is required to establish a new membership (requires a one-time non-refundable $5 fee plus a $5.00 minimum deposit)
  • A new TCU personal checking account must be opened with the minimum deposit requirement
  • Eligible TCU personal checking accounts: Access Checking, Free Checking, Investor Checking, or Cheques Gratis
  • Offer only applies to ages 18 years and over. Excludes Travis Credit Union employees
  • Referring member and referred friend can’t be the same person
  • Only primary members on a joint account can refer friends and family
  • Trust accounts are not eligible for Refer-A-Friend program
  • Referring member authorizes Travis Credit Union to send email referrals to the email address(es) provided for Refer-A-Friend program as they have permission to share their friend and family’s information. The information provided will only be used by Travis Credit Union to send a referral invitation and administer the program
  • This offer is only available to residents in the United States

Bonus Requirements:

Referring Member

  • The referring member must have a Prime Share account and a TCU personal checking account
  • Members must enroll and login to Online Banking to access their unique referral link, which they can share with their friends and family
  • Referring members may receive up to $1,000 in Refer-A-Friend bonuses within a calendar year
  • Referring member can receive a $50 bonus for each friend (up to $1,000) once program requirements are met by the referred friend
  • If a referring member has more than one eligible TCU personal checking account, the $50 bonus will be deposited to the first opened eligible TCU personal checking account
  • Referring member must be at least 18 years and over to participate in the program

2. Referred Friend

  • Newly referred friend does not include members that have an existing Travis Credit Union personal checking account OR had a previous personal checking account that was closed within the preceding 36 months
    To qualify for the $50 bonus, the newly referred friend must:
    • Use the referring member unique link to register for Refer-A-Friend program
    • Qualify for membership with TCU
    • Open a Prime Share Account and a TCU personal checking account
    • Complete one of the following within the first 90 days of account opening:
      • Makes twelve (12) or more debit card purchases of $10 or more each (excluding ATM transactions) OR
      • Makes one (1) or more direct deposits totaling $250 or more
  • Qualifying direct deposits are payroll or other personal income such as paycheck, pension or government payments (e.g. Social Security) via the Automated Clearing House (“ACH”). Direct deposits processed as a Debit Card or Credit Card credit or via Account to Account or Peer to Peer (e.g. Zelle®, Venmo) transfer or external bank ACH transfer not from employer do not qualify
  • Limit one promotional offer per member. The promotion cannot be combined with any other offer. If there is a Promo Code on the account, the member will only receive the bonus tied to the Promo Code

Bonus Payment:

  • After both the referring member and referred friend have met the program requirements, the bonus will be deposited into the TCU Personal Checking account of the referring member and the referred friend within 60 days after qualifications have been met.
  • Your eligible TCU Personal Checking account must be open, in good standing, and must have a balance greater than zero when the cash bonus is paid.
  • Only one new account bonus per member and account. Promotion cannot be combined with any other checking offers.
  • The reward is considered interest and will be reported on IRS form 1099-INT
