Mike is responsible for all legal matters related to Travis Credit Union including corporate, regulatory, governance, copyright, intellectual property, and employment law, in addition to supervising our credit and enterprise risk leaders. He has more than 30 years of experience in the legal profession, including serving 20 years as an attorney with the State of California, nine years in private practice, and one year as a volunteer deputy district attorney. Mike’s most recent state service was as Deputy General Counsel for Litigation for the California Department of Insurance, the largest consumer protection agency in California.
He earned his Master of Laws (cum laude) in natural resources and environmental law from Northwestern School of Law - Lewis & Clark College, a Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego, and a Bachelor of Arts from University of California at Davis. Mike serves as an Appellate Mediator for the Third District-California Court of Appeal, is on the Board of Directors for the Davis Chamber of Commerce, and has recently completed a term on the CFPB’s Credit Union Advisory Council.
