What an extraordinary year it has been as we near the final months of 2020. We have not only witnessed changes throughout our work and home lives, but we have seen how 2020 brought us together in many ways.
At Travis, we’ve had the opportunity to support members who were struggling significantly throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic and were able to guide them back toward a path of financial wellness. Pat and I are proud of the managers and employees at Travis for stepping up for our members and embracing a culture of teamwork, leadership, advocacy and community. They have changed lives and lifted communities through their efforts.
Keeping Our Members Safe
If you’ve been to any of our branches lately, you’ll notice we’ve taken additional safety measures to slow the spread of COVID-19 while continuing to serve you. Masks are required for both Travis employees and members while in a branch, as well as social distancing of at least six feet apart.
We’ve provided sneeze guards at representatives’ desks, barriers between teller windows and between ATMs, and have increased the frequency of cleaning of high-touch and other areas of our branches.
Improving Our Digital Access
Of course, making it easier for members to access Travis online continues to be another priority. We’ve improved our Online and Mobile Banking services, provided more self-service tools for TCU credit card accountholders and transitioned our free financial education seminars to online webinars.
It’s easier to apply online for mortgages, auto loans and other products. We’ve also replaced our ATMs this year to provide you with the latest security and technology.
New Benicia Branch
Just this month we moved our Benicia Branch to a new space within the same shopping center. The new location allows us to better serve you with more office space, private offices and an updated, modern design. The same great Benicia team is eager to welcome you to their new branch.
International Credit Union Day
Along with our new branch, we celebrated International Credit Union Day on Oct. 15. This year’s theme is “Inspiring hope for a global community”, which focuses on the global health crisis that has impacted communities around the world. Credit unions have stayed true to our cooperative principles of “People Helping People” in this time of uncertainty.
At Travis Credit Union, we’re here to help you improve your financial life, both in the challenges of today and the promises of a better tomorrow. Pat and I wish you a healthy, safe and Happy New Year in 2021!
