Since 2006, Travis Credit Union has collected food and donations from our members and employees during the holiday season to directly help people in the communities we serve.
Food for Thought
Travis Credit Union will collect food to support the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano counties. All are encouraged to stop by the nearest TCU branch and donate generously to our food barrels.
Through your donation of food, you significantly touch the lives of your neighbors. Over 13,594 pounds of food were donated by TCU members and employees in 2017! According to the Food Bank, that is roughly 11,328 meals that helped 3,776 families, right here in our community.
Let’s end 2018 with a huge outpouring of love and food, and leave last year’s number in the dust!
Stuffing Stockings for Children
During the month of December, keep an eye out for stockings decorating the branches. The Holiday Stocking Campaign raises funds for the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN); a non-profit organization dedicated to helping kids.
Travis members and
employees have donated
over $80,000 since 2006!
The monies raised stay right here in our local service area at UC Davis Children’s Hospital, Oakland Children’s Hospital and Valley Children’s Hospital.
Each year these non-profit hospitals provide the finest care, research and community outreach to help millions of children with diseases and injuries of every kind. And with our help, these hospitals can bring the care these children need that wouldn’t otherwise be able to get.
Let’s make sure to blanket our branches in stockings and fill the barrels with food this holiday season! Together, we can help make the difference we want in the world. Travis Credit Union’s philosophy of “People Helping People” impacts our communities beyond any other financial institution and this is a great example.
