Vacaville, CA – On February 11, the Travis Credit Union Foundation announced two local students each received a $500 Youth Financial Wellness Scholarship to support their postsecondary education. The scholarships were announced during the annual Life after High School event, hosted in partnership by Travis Credit Union and the Solano County Office of Education.

Vacaville, CA – Travis Credit Union is proud to announce its continued partnership with the IRS and United Way of the Bay Area to provide the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. TCU partners with United Way every year as a part of our mission to lift our communities through financial wellness. Last year, Travis volunteers completed and filed nearly 200 returns totaling over $200,000.


Providing Grants for Clean Vehicles in the Bay Area

Vacaville, CA – Travis Credit Union and Community Housing Development Corporation have partnered to promote the launch of CHDC’s Driving Clean Assistance Program as part of the Light-Duty Financing Assistance in Disadvantaged Communities pilot project. This project allows CHDC to provide financial assistance of up to $5,000, enabling consumers to purchase advanced technology (plug-in, hybrid and battery electric) vehicles.

Vacaville, CA – January is Financial Wellness month, and Travis Credit Union has all the tools necessary to help those who are looking to reassess and reboot their relationship with money at the start of the New Year and the beginning of tax-filing season. As the pandemic has extended beyond a health crisis into an economic crisis, as well, a recent Harris Poll survey indicated many Americans wished they had better money management skills.


Vacaville, CA – While the challenges of 2020 are unprecedented, there were more opportunities this year than in Travis Credit Union’s 70-year history to create value for our members and local community. In a nine-month span, Travis Credit Union implemented multiple financial relief initiatives for members and distributed more than three million dollars to community partners providing essential services, all while serving and advocating for our members and neighbors in new and creative ways.


Vacaville, CA – Although the pandemic has slightly changed how Travis Credit Union gives back to our community this holiday season, it hasn’t impacted our level of support and commitment to ensure programs we’ve partnered with for years are still provided for and championed. As we have done for many years, TCU reached out to the community through many different programs, including participation in the Children's Miracle Network Holiday Stocking Campaign, the Travis Air Force Base Festival of Trees Auction and Christmas Wish 2020, among others.


Vacaville, CA – The Travis Credit Union Foundation announced that it raised over $1M for the COVID-19 Relief Initiative, which was matched by Travis Credit Union, for a total of $2M which will be distributed to 83 local community organizations, many who are providing resources and services to individuals and families impacted by the pandemic. Travis Credit Union matched every dollar raised by the Travis Credit Union Foundation up to $20,000, for a maximum of $40,000 total per agency. The campaign culminated on September 30.


Webinars to Educate Students and Families on Available Financial Aid Resources

Vacaville, CA – Travis Credit Union is looking to increase the number of high school students in Yolo County who complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Dream Act Application. The applications are required from students seeking federal or state financial aid to support their post-secondary education.

Online Event to Celebrate the Start of 2020-2021 School Year for Local Youth

Vacaville, CA – Travis Credit Union invites students and their families to attend a free virtual Back-to-School Rally, scheduled for Wednesday, September 16 from 4-5 p.m. The Zoom event is also the culmination of TCU’s month-long Back to School Challenge, where students who complete the weekly online financial education activities are entered into a drawing to win the Grand Prize, a new laptop.


‘Funds will support local relief efforts now and through the remainder of the fire season’

With four more months of potential fire season to go, many of our community members have already been forced to evacuate or have lost their homes.
