Deborah Aspling

Board Chair

Deborah has more than 30 years of experience in leadership, operations, and resource management. During her career, she has held executive positions such as Review Board Adjudicator, Physical Disability Board of Review for the Department of Defense (DoD) and Vice President/Area Manager for Kaiser Permanente Health Plan and Medical Centers. During this time, she also served as a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserves/Active Duty and retired with more than 33 years of service.

She also served on the California Military Counsel which advises the governor's office on relevant military issues throughout California. Additionally, Deborah was on the board for St. John Shelter for Women and the Children in Sacramento and the United Way in San Antonio, Texas. She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from California State University.

Deborah currently serves as the Travis Credit Union Board Chair and was elected to the Travis Credit Union Board of Directors in 2008. She holds the Certified Credit Union Board Member (CCUB) Designation awarded by Credit Union National Association. Deborah also serves as a board member and chair to the Governance Committee for Paradise Valley Estates, an accredited continuing care community (CCRC).

Kevin Burke

Director

Kevin is the CEO of Paradise Valley Estates in Fairfield and has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare and the senior housing industry. He is invested in the communities he serves and has helped develop and manage dozens of senior living communities throughout the country.

Throughout his career, Kevin has been a strong proponent of strategic planning, innovation, customer service and team spirit. He is also has a long standing history of creating a positive community culture and improving the organization’s financial performance.

Kevin has a BS and an MBA from the Rochester Institute of Technology and serves on the boards of the Fairfield Community Services Foundation and LeadingAge California.

Mary Coburn

Secretary

Mary is a retired Department of Defense civilian leader for the U.S. Air Force. She is well known in the local community and supports non-profits serving youth, Veterans, Wreaths Across America, Women’s Political Advocacy and her church. She’s a Certified Credit Union Volunteer with the Credit Union National Association. As a Travis Credit Union member since 1966, she is very aware of how credit union services were critical during her career. Mary was appointed to the Supervisory Committee in 1995 and served as chair until she was elected to the Board of Directors in 2007. Her dedication to Travis Credit Union members is first and foremost as a board member.

Doug Beaumont

Treasurer

Doug is a retired Air Force Colonel and a retired commercial airline pilot. During his 26 year military career, he flew C-141’s at Travis AFB and served as the 710 MAS Squadron Commander. During his 28 year commercial airline career, he earned multiple Airline Transport Pilot ratings and acquired over 20,000 flight hours.

Doug has been a member of Travis Credit Union since 1970 and is a graduate of the TCU Volunteer at Large program. He is a Certified Credit Union Board member (CCUB) and certified in Financial Planning/Literacy both from CUNA. He was on the Supervisory Committee from 2013-2017 and Chair of the Supervisory Committee from 2016-2017. He was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2017 and now serves as the Board Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee.

Doug holds a BA in Biology and has a Master's in Business Administration. He has been a licensed Real Estate Broker since 1976 and was a Real Estate Appraiser for 10 years. Since 2003, he has been a certified Golf Rules Official for the NCGA/NCPGA and is a Past President of the Senior Golf Association of Northern California. He was on the Vacaville Planning Commission from 2018-2022 and has been reappointed for the 2024-2026 term.

Len Augustine

Community Liaison

Len is a well-known civic leader, serving the area as an elected official and a military commander. As mayor of Vacaville, he worked closely with the City Council and city management to develop policy in all areas of local government, including the city budget, public safety and community development. Len served as vice mayor, city councilmember and city planning commissioner. He also chaired the Travis Regional Armed Forced Committee and led the effort to retain Travis AFB. He helped develop a strategic plan for the city, which included the renewal of Downtown Vacaville.

Len retired as a colonel in the Air Force and was the commander for the 89th Military Airlift Wing Command, responsible for all operations, maintenance, and transportation of the Presidential Wing of the U.S. Air Force, including the safe, reliable operation of Air Force One. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree mechanical engineering from Lehigh University. Len has been on the Board since 2010.

Brian Howell

Director

Brian is a Business Unit Planning Coordinator for the CFO of Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD). He has more than 20 years of financial and operational experience working with large state utilities and multinational energy companies. Brian specializes in financial, strategic, and operational planning and performance. His passion lies in forging new paths to the future, particularly through community investment and fostering the growth of small businesses in the communities served by Travis Credit Union.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Sacramento State University and a MBA from Saint Mary’s College. Brian is also a graduate of TCU’s Volunteer at Large program and a native of Vacaville. He joined Travis Credit Union Board of Directors in 2020.

JP Kirkley

Director

JP is currently General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Rhombus Systems, Inc., an enterprise cloud-based AI driven physical security solution provider. He has more than 28 years of experience in the technology and healthcare sectors, working with several fortune 500 companies focusing on strategy, product development, data security and privacy, corporate governance, and operations.

JP earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from Biola University and his Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University. He is certified in Entrepreneurship and Technology Law. In his spare time, JP teaches at Pepperdine University’s Caruso School of Law, advises various early-stage technology companies, and serves as an active member of TechGC, a private network consortium of high-growth technology GCs.

JP started volunteering with TCU in 2019. He is a graduate of the TCU Volunteer-at-Large program, and was elected to its Board of Directors in 2020. JP holds the Certified Credit Union Board member designation (CCUB) awarded by Credit Union National Association, has served on TCU’s Governance Committee, Finance Committee, Nominating Committee, Training & Development Committee, and CEO Selection Committee, and currently is the Chair of the Policy Committee.

Tim Murrill

Vice Chair

Tim recently retired as the Executive Director of the Solano Small Business Development Center (SBDC) after six years of service. During this tenure there, he led a team of 30 Business Advisors supporting the success of more than 2,000 small businesses in Solano and Napa County.

Previously, he was a Director of Global Sales for FedEx, responsible for $1 billion in revenue and overseeing a global sales force of 300 Account Executives worldwide. Earlier in his career, Tim founded Prediction Analytics, a firm providing location and sales forecasting services to national retailers and restaurants, including McDonald's, Gap Stores, Applebee’s, and Krispy Kreme. The company was sold to Experian Corp within three years of inception.

Tim serves on several boards, including the Advisory Board of the Solano Economic Development Corporation, two faith-based nonprofits, and as an elder and treasurer of Graceway Church in Benicia. He holds an Associate Degree from Sierra College and joined the Travis Credit Union Board of Directors in 2020, earning the Certified Credit Union Board Member (CCUB) designation from the Credit Union National Association. Tim is also a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, working with leaders to maximize their strengths and those of their team members.

Richard Word

Director

Richard has nearly 30 years of experience in law enforcement, serving in the Oakland Police Department for 20 years in various capacities, such as a police officer, undercover narcotics detective, sergeant, lieutenant, captain and Chief of Police. After 20 years in Oakland, he became the Police Chief for Vacaville for nine years before retiring in 2013. He is currently senior police consultant for Citygate Associates, LLC and has taught police courses for both the University of Phoenix and the Los Rios Community College District.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from John F. Kennedy University and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Golden Gate University. Richard joined the Travis Credit Union Board of Directors in 2020. He also serves as a board member for PACE Solano, a local nonprofit that provides services and support to the developmentally disabled.

Robert Bowers

Associate Volunteer

Robert served as a Superior Court judge in Solano County for more than 20 years, presiding over District 15. He also served 28 years in the United States Army (active duty and reserves), retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Robert earned a BS in Business from Long Island University, Southampton and a JD from Georgetown University.

Rod Ehsani

Associate Volunteer

Rod brings more than 20 years of leadership and financial experience to Travis Credit Union. Working across various industries, he possesses a deep understanding of the nuances of financial management, risk assessment, and governance. His advocacy of member-centric values and community development aligns with TCU’s commitment to fostering an inclusive financial environment that caters to the diverse needs of its members.

Ed Rapisarda

Director

Ed has more than 35 years in leadership, strategic planning and management. As the president and broker of Realty One Group Fox, he is adept at handling complex situations and creating “win/win” situations for his staff and their clients. Rob also served as an Infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps and earned his BA in Business Administration, Finance from California State University – Sacramento.

Tim Truesdale

Director

Tim has more than 40 years of leadership and community service experience. He is currently the president and chief executive officer of Community Resource Associates Inc. in Antioch, where he is responsible for bringing long-term affordable housing to seniors and others in need. Tim earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Northwestern Business College. Previously, he served as a Travis Credit Union board member from 2011-2017 and was Chair of the Supervisory Committee from 2018-2024.

Kari Mulholland

Director

Kari is a Certified Public Accountant and owner of Capital Tax Management, Inc. She has more than 25 years of experience in public and private practice and has volunteered for and served on the board for various non-profit organizations. Kari holds a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from California State University, Sacramento. Before joining the Board in 2025, she served on the Supervisory Committee from 2020-2024.

Kevin Miller

President and Chief Executive Officer

Kevin is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Travis Credit Union. He has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and has held a variety of senior and executive roles with national and regional banks. Prior to Travis Credit Union, Kevin was the Chief Growth Officer of a fintech, focused on empowering underserved consumers to improve their credit and financial wellbeing.

Kevin earned Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communications from the University of South Florida. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Solano Economic Development Corporation and Travis Credit Union Foundation, and is on the Advisory Board for the Global Retail Marketing Association.

Ivan Jones

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Ivan leads the finance, accounting, business analytics, facilities, and support services teams. He spearheads overall financial and investment strategy, as well as budgeting, reporting, liquidity management, and asset liability management. Ivan started his career at Travis Credit Union in 2006 as a financial analyst, receiving promotions throughout the years, including assistant vice president and vice president of finance.

He earned a Master in Business Administration from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Duke University.

Catherine Johnson

Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer

As Chief People Officer, Catherine (CJ) is responsible for the strategy and results for Human Resources, Learning & Development, and DEI Engagement programs. She brings more than 30 years of human resources and strategic planning expertise to Travis Credit Union, including organization design and development, performance management, talent management, strategic business, and HR planning. Previous, CJ was the Vice President of Human Resources at the Center for Elders’ Independence in Oakland, a non-profit providing integrated health care services to the frail and elderly.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Southern Maine. CJ is a board member of the DayBreak Adult Care Centers and a committee member of both the Solano County Behavioral Health Diversity and Equity committee, and the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Committee.

Scott Nichols

Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Scott leads the Technology and Enterprise Architecture teams. His overall responsibility is ensuring that Travis Credit Union maximizes investments in technology solutions and develops high standards of performance management and operating integrity. Scott has nearly 30 years of IT experience, including 10 years of working in financial services at Barclays Global Investors and BlackRock. He was instrumental in the M&A process and technology integration of several companies, including BlackRock/Barclays, Allstate/SquareTrade, and SAP/Sybase. Additionally, he has held leadership positions with SquareTrade, Hewlett Packard, and others. He is a native of Vacaville and attended Diablo Valley College.

Herjit Samra

Vice President of Internal Audit

Herjit leads the Internal Audit operations for Travis Credit Union. Her team provides independent and objective assurance regarding the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance practices throughout the credit union. In addition, she oversees the internal, financial and regulatory audits. Herjit has over 20 years of banking and auditing experience, with more than 16 years of experience at Travis Credit Union.

She earned a Masters of Business Administration from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from California State University of Sacramento.

Grady Bond

Senior Vice President, Chief Retail and Lending Officer

Grady is responsible for the management of all Travis Credit Union business lines (deposits, payments, lending, wealth management) and distribution channels (branch, contact center, digital), as well as enterprise member experience and marketing. He comes to Travis Credit Union with extensive national and regional banking experience. Prior to joining Travis Credit Union in 2023, Grady was Executive Vice President - Head of Consumer, Business, & Wealth Deposit Products & Strategy at Bank of the West, and previously held roles in finance, product management, branch management, and consumer banking strategy with TD Bank, JP Morgan Chase, and Bank of America.

Grady earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.

Mike Levy

Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Mike is responsible for all legal matters related to Travis Credit Union including corporate, regulatory, governance, copyright, intellectual property, and employment law, in addition to supervising our credit and enterprise risk leaders. He has more than 30 years of experience in the legal profession, including serving 20 years as an attorney with the State of California, nine years in private practice, and one year as a volunteer deputy district attorney. Mike’s most recent state service was as Deputy General Counsel for Litigation for the California Department of Insurance, the largest consumer protection agency in California.

He earned his Master of Laws (cum laude) in natural resources and environmental law from Northwestern School of Law - Lewis & Clark College, a Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego, and a Bachelor of Arts from University of California at Davis. Mike serves as an Appellate Mediator for the Third District-California Court of Appeal, is on the Board of Directors for the Davis Chamber of Commerce, and has recently completed a term on the CFPB’s Credit Union Advisory Council.

Erik Wakefield

Senior Vice President, Operations

Erik is responsible for the project management office, retail operations, lending operations, sales enablement, disputes, payment services, facilities and security. He brings nearly 20 years of experience to his role focusing on operational excellence, growth, and talent development. Most recently, Erik served as Vice President of Customer and Colleague Experience at Flagstar Bank. Prior to that, he held multiple executive positions at TCF Bank, Universal Hospital Services, and Target.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from California State University - Fresno and has a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
