Free Shred Events open to the public

Travis Credit Union is hosting a free event to safely dispose of confidential papers in your neighborhood. Residents are invited to bring their personal and business documents to be professionally shredded.

Please Note: As an added step to limit exposure to COVID-19, we have canceled all community events and public financial education seminars in the counties of Napa, Solano, Contra Costa, Merced and Yolo through May (see After that time, we will reevaluate on a month-to-month basis.

  • Audio equipment (stereos, tape/ CD players)
  • Digital cameras, video cameras, projectors
  • Cell phones, smartphones, telephonic equipment
  • Networking equipment, cables, servers
  • Walkie-talkies
  • Small office appliances

  • Lightbulbs of any type
  • Any batteries other than those installed in a laptop or cellphone
  • Large appliances of any type
  • Old data storage (CDs, VHS tapes, DVDs)
  • Smoke detectors
  • Refrigerators and Air Conditioners
