Olivia Wasser, at our Dixon Branch, recently helped a retired couple find the right loan to pay for a new roof. They were members on a fixed income who were seeking the lowest interest rate they could qualify for. They also wanted to keep their business at Travis Credit Union.

Olivia reviewed various options and recommended a loan that would work best for the couple. She then worked closely with our lending team to ensure they understood the situation. After the loan was approved, the couple praised her efforts, saying they couldn’t believe that anyone would go out of their way to help improve their finances.

“The member said that in all her years in finance she had never seen anybody go out of their way to try and make something work for a customer like this!” said Olivia.

Financial Education Efforts

Travis employees are focused on finding what works for your financial future. We listen to your concerns and provide you with the answer that best fit your situation. We also help you learn more about personal finances by offering free financial education and financial literacy programs all-year long. These include free seminars ranging from: buying a home, budgeting, retirement planning and buying a car.

For teens and young adults, we offer our popular Mad City Money teen financial boot camp that teaches basic money management skills that every teen and young adult should know.

Another way we prepare you for the future is through our investment services program, known as Travis Financial Services. We recently opened a new Wealth Management Center in Vacaville and invite you to schedule an appointment there to discuss your investment needs in a comfortable and private atmosphere.

International Credit Union Day

The third Thursday of October is International Credit Union Day. This is an annual event that has been held every year since 1948 to commemorate the credit union movement. Pat and I thank you for trusting your personal and business finances with Travis for more than 67 years! We also thank our more than 600 Travis employees who are at the heart of what we do.

To better serve you, Pat and I are excited to announce that we’re opening a new branch in Pleasant Hill at the end of year. And in 2019, we’ll have more news related to our financial advocacy, financial literacy and financial education efforts.

Have a safe holiday season!
