In the Community - Spring 2016

Travis Credit Union employees actively support the people and communities we serve through an investment of financial resources and human capital. We’re also engaged based on our core purpose, promoting the mission of "People Helping People”, through financial literacy and advocacy initiatives. Here are some of the events our employees participated in over the past few months.


Operation Cookie Drop

Helping military service members on TAFB comes natural to Travis Credit Union representatives, who were on hand to support the annual Operation Cookie Drop on Dec. 9, 2015.

Congressional visit

Congressional Visit - Spring 2016

Congressman John Garamendi, representing the California’s 3rd Congressional District, visited our corporate offices on Nov. 24, 2015. Garamendi has been a great supporter of credit unions in 2015. He was a cosponsor of both H.R. 1188 (raising the member business lending cap) and H.R. 1422 (addressing non-owner occupied residential loans). The Congressman had a brief conversation with the Travis team about topics ranging from financial literacy programs to in-direct auto lending, as well as upcoming and pending regulatory burdens.

Travis Credit Union was honored by the Vacaville Boys and Girls Club on Nov. 7, 2015 for its efforts in helping the organization carrying out its mission of helping local youth.
