In February, I received a letter from a member who explained how Travis Credit Union employee Tracey helped her with a vehicle repossession. She explained that her mother was tricked into buying a truck by another family member who then didn’t make the monthly payments as promised.

Tracey kept in frequent touch with the member throughout the process, and happily let her know when the vehicle was finally recovered. “My mother, sister and I thank Tracey – and Travis – for being an upstanding institution and hiring the best of the best,” the member wrote.

The credit union’s greatest asset since it was founded in 1951 has been its employees. Today, we have more than 600 people on staff and we are growing. Travis employees aren’t just people who work at the credit union. They are your neighbors, friends, families, church members, classmates and more. And they are all focused on providing you with the highest level of professionalism, knowledge and community involvement you’ve come to expect from us.

Annual Meeting

Of course, we’d love to hear how we are doing. You are invited to attend our Annual Membership Meeting on April 27 in our Community Room at One Travis Way in Vacaville. Pat and myself will discuss last year’s accomplishments and achievements, as well as talk about our goals for 2017. We hope to see you there!

Another annual event that is popular among members is our shredding event, where you can properly dispose of unwanted financial documents in a safe and secure way. Visit the In the Community page to learn more about this event.

Also in this issue, we begin a series of profiles on Travis members who are making a difference in their communities. We start with the owner of Erica Marie’s Catering, who turned to Travis for both her personal and business accounts.

Have a fantastic spring!
