GAC
On February 25, Travis Credit Union executives and representatives joined thousands of credit union leaders at the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) in Washington, D.C. As a credit union, we are dedicated to standing together and sending a united message that our members matter.
Mad City Money
On Feb. 27 and March 28, respectively, Travis Credit Union’s financial education and management team spent the afternoon helping Jesse Bethel and Country high school at the credit union’s Mad City Money program. This popular and long-running program gives youth a sense of adulthood as they’re taught basic money management and budgeting skills.
Military Saves
This past February, Travis Credit Union proudly participated in Military Saves Week. Each year, we motivate and encourage service members and military families to save money, reduce debt and build wealth through a week of financial focus and education.
VITA: Volunteer Income Tax Assistance
Travis Credit Union partnered with the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) to bring free tax return services to our community this past February and March. Solano and Contra Costa County residents could reserve a free tax session appointment at the Richmond and Dixon Branch, as well as our corporate offices in Vacaville.
Shred Event
Travis Credit Union sponsored two shredding events this past spring: March 17 in Richmond and March 24 at the corporate offices in Vacaville. The free event offered on-the-spot document shredding to help residents protect personal and financial information from identity thieves.
Travis Credit Union employees actively support the people and communities we serve through an investment of financial resources and human capital. We’re also engaged based on our core purpose, promoting the mission of "People Helping People”, through financial literacy and advocacy initiatives.
