In love with your credit score

Most of us know how much a credit score can impact your financial life. Nowadays, your credit score can be the deciding factor in loan approval, getting a job – and even your love life.

According to a new study from Bankrate, 42 percent of Americans say that knowing someone's credit score would have an impact on their interest in dating them. This happens to be a more important factor for women, with 43 percent saying that learning a person’s credit score would either have a major or minor impact on their dating interest. Meanwhile, only 32 percent of men felt the same.

However, you shouldn’t be fooled into thinking your credit score will determine the fate of your love life. Learning the other person’s credit score in the early stages of dating doesn’t mean that the relationship will suffer. Instead, have a conversation with your partner to communicate your financial goals and views on saving and investing.
