At Travis Credit Union, protecting your sensitive account information is
at the forefront of everything we do.
We are taking a proactive approach to guideline changes in our industry,
introducing “Two-Factor Authentication.” New security
upgrades have added layers of protection to your account, beyond typing a
conventional password. Features, such as photo selection, computer ID
verification, and personalized “challenge” questions, allow you to
customize your log-in.Two-Factor Authentication
We have enabled two-factor authentication in compliance with our
governing organization, the Credit Union National Association (CUNA),
and the Department of Homeland Security. This is a national attempt to
prevent ID theft and “phishing” attacks, attempts to steal your
information for possible monetary gain. Phishing arrives as fraudulent
email, disguised as reputable companies you know (e.g., bank, credit
card or online store). They report an account error, asking you to reply
or click a link to 'supposedly' access your account. People who reply,
enter their PIN, password or credit card numbers, provide identity
thieves online access to their accounts.
Why relocate the log-in window?
Our first step in the security upgrade was the relocation of the
Online Banking log-in window. Please remove any “bookmarks” or
“short-cuts” to Online Banking, E-statements or Bill Pay.
Thank you for your patience
We apologize for the inconvenience, as Travis Credit Union continues to
provide members with the highest level of online security. |
